How to fit the Hip Lifting sling harness on your dog

  1. Measure from the handle, down and under your dog's belly, and back up to the handle, then pick Medium/Large or Tall Lean from the chart.
  2. Choose the male or female version, which sets how wide the padded belly panel is.
  3. Slide the padded panel under your dog's belly just in front of the back legs, so it sits under the hips and the fleece lining lies flat with no bunching.
  4. Bring the handles up on both sides and adjust the straps until the panel is level and centered, with no twist in the fabric.
  5. Take hold of both padded handles and lift with a steady, even pull so the weight spreads across the panel, then attach the built-in leash control before you walk.

How do I choose the right size?
Measure from the handle, down and under your dog's belly, and back up to the handle. Medium/Large covers 38 to 60 inches and suits dogs from 60 to 150 pounds. Tall Lean covers 26 to 37 inches and suits dogs from 70 to 150 pounds.
What is the difference between the male and female versions?
The width of the padded belly panel. The female versions use a 7.5 inch pad. The male versions are narrower, 5.5 inches on Medium/Large and 5 inches on Tall Lean, so the sling stays clear when your dog needs to relieve themselves.
What can the sling help my dog do?
It gives rear leg and hip support, so it helps a dog stand up, walk with better balance, climb stairs, get into a vehicle or onto furniture, and get outside for bathroom breaks with less strain.
